The Start of the Landscaping

The people who we bought the house from did an amazing job fixing it up on the inside, but the backyard is SORELY lacking . I have already spent many days out there trimming bushes and trees. I have already bagged up over 20 large garbage bags full of clippings, including lots of very prickly vines. This week my project was to tear up part of the janky brick patio and build a little retaining wall around the huge tree in the backyard. My brother in law Kevin and his family are going to come down at the end of August and help (and by "help" I mean do the entire thing) build a deck.

A "B" Movie Actor is coming to town

Bruce Campbell, "B" movie actor and author of "If Chins Could Kill" and "Make Love *the bruce campbell" way is coming to my library in Memphis on August 23rd to promote his new book. I have read "If Chins Could Kill" and am looking forward to his new book. Hopefully I will be able to get a picture taken with him to post here. I will be dressing up as Ash from the Evil Dead series.

She's Arrived

My new DLP Sony HDTV arrived today, two days early. I had to sell my my old HDTV to my father (for a song) because of the move to Memphis. I have been watching a 25 inch Samsung in the mean time. The new TV 42 inches long and 65 lbs. The picture is amazing. I bought it through www.Butterflyphoto.com , the price was right, but they are really annoying in that they try to upsell you on everything, from surge protectors to light bulb replacement plans. I also had to buy a new reciever, cause my old Sony was old and the internal fuse kept blowing. Well I am off to catch up on my TV/Movie watching.
