Day Six: Thursday

Kevin and I finished laying the 4 or 5 deck boards that were left, we layed out the lines to put up the railing, and layed a concrete pad for the steps to land on. I made a trip to Lowes to pick up 100 balusters to built the railing with. I had them stacked in the back of Kevin's mini-van. I had the back open because of the 16 foot long 2x6s that were sticking out. Apparently somewhere between Lowe's and my house, a 24 back of the balusters fell out. I went back to see if I could find them, but someone had already gotten to them and taken them. What scavengers there are in Memphis. We knocked off early today so that we could take the kids to the Memphis Children's Museum.
