New House: Grass is growing as the Parade of Homes ends today.
Old House: The home inspection went really well. There were very few things that needed to be fixed and even fewer that the buyer asked to be fixed. She wanted a few of the windows unstuck, an electrical breaker upgraded, a few popped nails on the roof pounded in, and a HVAC professional to come look at the furnace to make sure none of the heat exchangers were cracked. Luckily they weren't. The termite inspection was fine, which is required down here, but since the guy doing the inspection worded his letter poorly, we think we need a structural engineer to come out on Tuesday to say that all the repairs done many years ago are fine. Not a big deal, but more of a $250 pain in the butt. The FHA inspection happens tomorrow and we are keeping our fingers crossed that it will just be a formality. So other then that we are getting ready for the big move coming up on the weekend of June 21st.
